Zaneta & Chris

This picture says it all.  One look at these two and you know you’re in the presence of true love!  Zaneta and I have known one another since high school, and it was so fun catching up with her while planning her gorgeous wedding at The Acre Orlando.  She and Chris have a natural, perfect chemistry that is so refreshing to be around!  Enjoy some of their beautiful wedding photos shared by Ernie Lemon Photography.

Those flowers… yes please!  Zaneta and her family put these bouquets together themselves after ordering them from Bloominous.  Amazing, right!?

I loved how natural and serene their gorgeous venue was… I’m still swooning over their vine wall!  As a guest book, friends and family took photos with these mini-polaroids and hung their wishes for the bride and groom on little clothespins.  So creative!

I love these next three photos of their first look – how cute is Zaneta’s face as she sees Chris!?

Oh, the food.  Four Rivers catered the night and to top it all off, provided the sweets as well!  Cannot even begin to tell you how tempted I was to dig in to those goodies before they cut the cake 😉 Everything was delicious!

A-List Entertainment kept everyone on the dance floor all night long!  Zaneta and Chris, your wedding was magical and I was honored to be a part of it.  Thank you for trusting Two Peas with your perfect day!

Sarah & John

What happens when a Disney Princess (not even kidding!) meets her Prince Charming, while working at Disney!?  They fall in love, and start their literal Happily-Ever-After with a gorgeous wedding day in July.  Sarah and John are two of the kindest people you’ll ever meet!  Their love is so evident in how they speak to and look at each other, but also in how they treat anyone they encounter.  Check out their fairy-tale, captured by Cami Zi Photography.

St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church has recently done some renovations and it looks gorgeous!  It’s such a beautiful church where many Two Peas couples have committed their lives to one another.

Sarah and John asked for a custom “Unplugged” mirrored sign from Two Peas Shop, and have returned it to me so future brides can rent it for their own big day!  Excuse the iPhone shot 😉

Though you always hope nothing will go wrong on your wedding day, one of the many benefits of hiring a coordinator is to be sure all your vendors follow through!  We had a hiccup with their original transportation company, but VIP Wedding Transportation came to the rescue and worked with me to be sure the bridal party rode in style to their reception at the Ballroom at Church Street.  I love these photos of Sarah and John enjoying the ride with their closest friends!

It’s always a good idea to incorporate some small details into your wedding that let your guests know who they are celebrating, and I loved Sarah and John’s subtle and classic hints toward their love of Disney all throughout the night!  Instrumental Disney music played during dinner, sheet music graced the center of cocktail tables, and we may have even planted a hidden Mickey here or there 🙂 Don’t be afraid to use your wedding day as a chance to showcase who you are!

As you can tell by the lack of quality, these next two photos are courtesy of yours truly.  I’m a planner and not a photographer for a reason!  Had to show off their sweet details though.

Sarah and John knew they had a high bar set for their dance as they are both performers, so they started slow, then showed off their choreographed two-step to “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” and blew their 200+ guests away!!  The DJ and I were entranced and couldn’t stop talking about how professional they looked!  Here’s a quick sequence of the best first dance I’ve ever seen at a wedding.

Sprinkles always makes a beautiful and deliciously sweet wedding cake.

Even sweeter?  What happens after it’s cut.

Oh, and doughnuts for an end-of-night snack!  I had to capture this sweet table with my phone before their guests devoured it – about 300 doughnuts gone in a few minutes!

DJ Live Productions kept all 200 guests on the floor the ENTIRE night.  I’ve never seen a dance floor party quite like this one!

Sarah and John, thank you for inviting me into your wedding day as coordinator, and into your lives as new friends!

Adam & Samantha

Everyone can remember that friend they grew up with, even in early childhood.  So many memories of birthday parties, school, playdates, vacations, and sleepovers all include that friend, who you may or may not keep up with on social media.  A lucky few get to grow up with someone and stay friends with them for life, and I am one of them!

Samantha and I had older sisters who were pre-school friends, so we literally grew up together from baby-hood!  She has always been a friend I can trust, rely on, and have a blast with – I literally can’t remember a time she wasn’t in my life!  When I first met Adam, I had a strong feeling he would be the one she would marry!  They are the perfect fit.  They must have known pretty early too, as they flew to Asia just two months after meeting to spend a month together traveling!

Seeing as Sam and I had dreamt of our wedding days as little girls, then teenagers watching wedding movies (or let’s face it, any heart-throb movie with Freddy Prinze Jr!), it was so fun helping her plan and coordinate her own perfect day.  They got married at the Powel Crosley Estate in Sarasota – a breathtaking museum that used to be a private estate.  Check out their beautiful day, captured by my dear friend and crazy-talented photographer, Michelle Stoker!

That dress!!!  I was honored that Sam asked me to go dress shopping with her at The Boutique at Brides Against Breast Cancer, an amazing dress shop I love to recommend to brides who want their weddings to bless others 🙂 70% of the extremely great price on this stunning once-worn gown went directly to Breast Cancer Awareness!  Such a wonderful business.

Bridal Expo with Dishie Rentals!

Alright y’all… Most of us just love a Pinterest-worthy table scape, but can only do so much with what we have.  Enter: Dishie Rentals!  My sweet friend and neighbor Sheena recently took a leap of faith and followed what God put on her heart, and she is now the proud and talented owner of Dishie!  She gets to put gorgeous tableware on tables for brides that makes an entire wedding transform into a dream, and I am so excited for her on this new venture!  Just check out some of the tables Dishie has transformed and see for yourself.

Sheena wanted brides to see how beautiful her vintage dishes and flatware can look with ANY theme or feel for their wedding.  She asked me to create some table numbers, calligraphy signs, and place cards from Two Peas Shop to match four different tables – so I got to work right away!  We enjoyed meeting new clients and networking with amazing vendors at Hilton Altamonte’s Bridal Expo earlier in June.

First up was a classic garden/tea-party table.  Gold is a beautiful accent to blush!

Here’s a peek at one of the many signs that will be available to rent from Two Peas soon 🙂 This is a perfect way to let guests know you’d like an “Unplugged” ceremony.

One of the themes many brides don’t think of using vintage china for is “Modern,” but I just love how this table came out!  Cobalt blue, gold and magenta made for a stunning table setting!  I love how clean the lines turned out on this hand-painted table number.

Next up: a Lily-Pulitzer inspired table!  The pops of pink and turquoise in Dishie’s inventory were making us swoon while we set this table up!  Muted colors for linens and decor would pair beautifully with this preppy look for a spring or summer wedding in Florida.

rustic3 rustic4

Sheena and I are both admittedly drawn to a beautiful rustic table, so this theme was especially fun for us to design.  Sheena hand-makes these beautiful magnolia leaf garlands (and wreaths!) that centered the table, and I added the same pop of green to the table number and place cards.  Her eye for the perfect dishes and glasses to compliment any table will blow you away!

Sheena, I know you will bring so much joy to your brides and I was honored to help you bring the feel for these tables together!  So glad to have a “friendor” in the wedding biz!

Kelly’s last name was Campbell, and she married into the name Graham.  How fun is that!?  I had to title this blog post with Kelly and Eric’s wedding hashtag..  It’s too good not to share!  As was their big day, captured beautifully by Chic Shot Studio

Kelly and Eric contacted me about a year and a half before their wedding.  I love a plan-ahead bride!  I was also struck by how involved Eric was from the start.  He never missed a meeting and helped Kelly make most of the wedding decisions.  Their love and compatibility was evident from the beginning; but what I didn’t know right away was how much I would grow to adore them as a couple and as new friends!

The day started with a “first touch” at the gorgeous Alfond Inn in Winter Park, and ceremony at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church just a couple of blocks away.

Kelly ordered the ties for Eric and his groomsmen on Etsy, and I think they looked PERFECT with the gorgeous floral work by In Bloom.

Kelly ordered several signs and decor from me at Two Peas Shop, but my favorite project was her custom hand-written programs!  We loved how they came out – especially the map of Park Ave.  Who doesn’t want a hand-drawn train on their program!? 😉

After their ceremony, the bridal party headed to the Winter Park Farmer’s Market for a delicious cocktail hour and reception menu from Puff n’ Stuff Catering.  I love how the navy blue pops with their color scheme!

The Sugar Suite knocked it out of the park with their gorgeous (and oh-so-yummy!) cake, and the party went late into the night thanks to Our DJ Rocks!  It was so fun to watch Kelly and Eric truly enjoy the music and dancing all night… they know how to throw a party!

By The Richards captured the whole day on video, and posted this gorgeous teaser last week.  I would recommend them to any of my brides!!  I had so much fun getting to know Kelly’s awesome team of vendors during dinner, as we all sat around the kids’ table for a few minutes and played Uno!  Future brides, take note 😉

Kelly and Eric, thank you so much for trusting me to be a part of your day.  It was amazing!

Celebrating Monte

When Lori contacted me from California about helping her plan and coordinate her father’s Celebration of Life service, I was honored.  Admittedly, I primarily consider myself a wedding coordinator, even though I named this company Two Peas Events to help all sorts of events come together!  Celebrating love is why I am so passionate about Two Peas, but I had forgotten that there are many ways to celebrate that love.  Lori, her sister Tresa and their mom Yvonne are some of the most genuine and kind people I have ever had the pleasure to work with – and after hearing more about who Monte was and the life he lived, I can see why.

MBT026 MBT040

I met with Tresa and Yvonne at the beautiful Village on the Green, a retirement community where Yvonne and Monte live.  I heard countless stories about Monte’s generosity, love, faith, career, and family.  Yvonne told me about people calling her after her husband passed to share their memories of his unconditionally generous heart; many of which Yvonne never even knew about.  Monte didn’t selflessly give for recognition, but out of love for others.  They told me about his undeniable faith, and love for gospel barbershop quartet music (which I also learned is amazing!!), and passion for helping people as an oral surgeon, and service to our Country in the military, and his skills as a pilot, and all of the volunteer work he did… the list went on and on.  By hearing his story and setting up tables FILLED with memories about Monte, I truly got to reflect on life and what it looks like to live for Jesus.  What will my legacy be?  What kind of life will it be said that I lived?  I myself have experienced loss on a deep level for the first time in my life this year, so it was especially important for me to help this family honor Monte as beautifully as possible.  God has healed my heart through broken-heartedness in this season, and I know He will continue to heal theirs.

Monte and Yvonne were married 53 years!  He often brought her red roses, so she chose the same for his Celebration of Life ceremony.

MBT005 MBT007

I was able to make some signs for Yvonne from TwoPeasShop that would help honor Monte’s life.  Lori picked this poem above and we displayed pamphlets about Alzheimer’s for guests, as Monte suffered from the disease as he aged.  “To love someone is to see all of their magic and to remind them of it when they have forgotten.”

Tresa’s granddaughter wrote this precious note to her the day Monte passed.  The Kindergarten teacher in me just loves that phonetic spelling! “Don’t worry, you will see him again in Heaven.  I love you.”  Yes they will!

Lori and Tresa planned for a barbershop quartet to come sing some of Monte’s favorite worship songs to their guests.  I always love the song “It is Well,” but their version brought tears to my eyes!

MBT135 MBT226

One of Monte’s favorite bible verses was 2 Timothy 4:7.  David Castillo graciously took all the photos of the service for their family to remember forever!

MBT292 MBT024

After the service, Orlando from Village on the Green served up ice cream (Monte’s favorite!) for dessert.  I love this photo of Yvonne topping her chocolate ice cream with chocolate syrup, or ordering “The Monte” as we called it, as it was her husband’s favorite.

MBT285 MBT016

MBT015 MBT224

Thank you Lori and Tresa, for allowing me to be a part of this special day for you.  God used your dad’s story to touch so many, including me!

2016 will be a great one, I can feel it!

Jake and Lindsay

Some couples I get the chance to work with have a love so deep for one another you can actually feel it in their presence.  Perfect example: Lindsay and Jake.  I’ve been blessed to call Lindsay my friend and “little sister” since my sophomore year of college, so I knew it would be a joy to help her execute the perfect wedding day.  What I didn’t know right away was how much I would LOVE getting to know her and Jake as a couple.  When catching up just the other day, I couldn’t help but feel giddy for the newlyweds as they basked in each other’s friendship and love.  They had a gorgeous wedding, and I know they will share a beautiful life together!  Take a peek at their day, captured perfectly by Jordan of Jordan Emmitt Photography (who, by the way, is one of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet)!

Lindsay and her bridesmaids got ready at the Dr. Phillips House within the Courtyard at Lake Lucerne, where the ceremony and reception would both take place.

Carl & Kayla

Carl and Kayla have been together for ten years, and you can tell just by being around them that their love has only grown since they met!  Tim and I were lucky enough to meet these two about four years ago in our Marriage Prep class at church.  Right away our small group started sharing about our relationships, struggles, and excitement for the future; I found it so telling of Kayla and Carl’s commitment that they took the Marriage Prep class before being engaged!  They were so confident in their future – and what a beautiful future it will be 🙂 | Steven Miller Photography Orlando

Kayla wanted to keep the day whimsical and fun, so she planned the perfect Carnival-themed wedding!  We loved putting all her DIY touches into both the ceremony and reception, captured beautifully by Steven Miller Photography.  One of the largest investments a bride and groom make when planning is hiring a photographer – what gorgeous photos Kayla and Carl will have for a lifetime to remind them of their perfect day! | Steven Miller Photography Orlando | Steven Miller Photography Orlando | Steven Miller Photography Orlando | Steven Miller Photography Orlando

I LOVE first looks!  Kayla and Carl met at Rollins College for some photos before heading to the ceremony at Mead Garden.  We decorated the outdoor space with lots of pinwheels and color!  It was such a cheery and inviting space to say “I do.” | Steven Miller Photography Orlando | Steven Miller Photography Orlando | Steven Miller Photography Orlando | Steven Miller Photography Orlando | Steven Miller Photography Orlando | Steven Miller Photography Orlando | Steven Miller Photography Orlando

Not only did we get to enjoy the best BBQ in Orlando, but Kayla chose strawberry cake with cream cheese frosting from Publix – my favorite!!  YUM!  A friend of the Kayla and Carl’s made this adorable cake topper and I had fun adding some floral accents to finish it off! | Steven Miller Photography Orlando | Steven Miller Photography Orlando | Steven Miller Photography Orlando | Steven Miller Photography Orlando | Steven Miller Photography Orlando | Steven Miller Photography Orlando

Jenna and Chris

Most weddings I have the honor to coordinate are beautifully planned by the bride – I just get the chance to help her vision come to life on the wedding day!  When I got married in 2011 I wanted to plan every detail down to the cocktail napkins, so I completely understand and have come to expect most brides planning at least the large parts of their day – the flowers, colors, and of course – dress!  Every now and then though, there comes a bride who just wants to be married and asks for a full service package.  Enter: happy dance!  My beautiful sister Jenna decided on September 1st of last year that she wanted to marry her fiance Chris on November 1st.  Of the same year.  She didn’t know much about her idea of the “perfect wedding,” but I didn’t realize she wouldn’t even want to pick her own wedding dress!  Needless to say, we got right to work 🙂

photo 3 (14)

Jenna and Chris love a little town about 30 minutes north of them called Rosemary Beach.  I have never seen such beautiful white sand in Florida, making it the perfect backdrop for their day!  We decided on peach and sage green for her colors and quickly shopped for J Crew bridesmaid dresses and Etsy pashminas to tie the looks all together.  Just wait until you see every detail captured by the amazing Candice of Candice K Photography!  I can’t rave about Candice enough – I only wish she lived in Orlando to capture more weddings with Two Peas!
